Short description | PhD student and lecturer/teacher in the English Department at the University of Kiel, Germany. Current doctorate “Differentiating the medial patterns of operatic adaptations: Macbeth” involves over 80 adaptations of Macbeth across numerous medial forms, including audiobooks, live stage plays, filmed former stage plays, radio plays, television, film, animations, graphic novels, abridged plays, and operas. The dissertation was completed in February 2021 (defence in June 2021). Completed work: Confusion of the Blind: a novel with adaptation and mediation exercises (2020); Head-Butting Kangaroos: a play with adaptation and mediation exercises (2018); Business Englisch für Fortgeschrittene für Dummies (2017); 2 symphonies, 3 concertos, 3 works for large choir, 5 tone poems, numerous short films, numerous libretti. Prior to moving to Germany in 2009, worked as: Symphonic and film composer and conductor and librettist; Photographer for the Nature Conservation Council of NSW, Australia; Lecturer in Organisational Psychology, University of Western Sydney. |
