Like travelling heroes, myths migrate between different eras and cultures. Cultural anthropology and depth psychology study their similarities and differences; reception history compares their rewritings. But myths also migrate from one medium to another, like stations in the events of their survival. Literary texts transposed into multimedia installations, vascular paintings dynamised on stage or film, or more often than not unprecedented intermedial combinations: the history of myths is also, or above all, the history of their intermedial transits.
